Recuperamos la entrevista a Jennifer Crush de Supernova Plasmajets, otro de los grupos que nos sorprendió en el pasado Rock the Ring de Suiza y que queremos presentar a nuestros lectores… Hablamos con ella de los inicios de la banda, su primer disco y su inminente futuro… Esto es lo que nos cuenta

M.S: Hola a todos, que tal estáis?Gracias por vuestro tiempo y pasaros por nuestra página…
Estoy bien gracias. Esta es la primera vez que tenemos la oportunidad de hablar con nuestros fans de España, así que es realmente emocionante hablar con vosotros.
M.S: Como es la primera vez que os entrevistamos en Metal Symphony, nos gustaría que os presentarais a nuestros lectores y nos contarais un poco sobre cómo se formó el grupo, qué estilo tocáis … etc …
Somos la banda alemana Supernova Plasmajets y soy la cantante principal Jennifer Crush. La banda ya existía cuando me uní a ellos hace unos seis años.
Randy Stardust me invitó a un ensayo con Manni McFly, Alexis Rose y Cliff Bourbon y tocamos algunas canciones juntos. Fue una combinación perfecta, musical y personal.
Así que comenzamos a hacer música y escribir canciones juntos y también nos hicimos amigos. Cuando estéis escuchando nuestra música, escucharéis una mezcla de ochenta y un moderno sonido Glam Rock y hardrock. No queríamos sonar como ninguna otra banda. Así que queríamos hacer algo para atraer cierta atención.
También está el hecho de que todos somos de diferentes edades. Cliff y yo somos más jóvenes que los demás. Soy una gran admiradora de HIM y Paramore, por ejemplo. Así que somos niños de los noventa, mientras que Randy, Manni y Alexis son más de ochenta. Entonces esta mezcla proporciona el estilo típico de Supernova Plasmajets.
M.S: Os vimos tocar en el último Rock The Ring, ¿qué recuerdos tienes de vuestro concierto y el festival?
Era nuestra primera vez en un concierto en Suiza, así que fue una experiencia realmente especial para nosotros. Bonito festival con mucha gente genial y muchas otras grandes bandas. Ha sido un honor interpretar un set entre Midnight Oil y Lynyrd Skynyrd y compartir el escenario con artistas tan increíbles. Sería genial tocar en más shows en el extranjero, ¿tal vez la próxima vez en España?
M.S: Es algo natural que los músicos estén influenciados por otros músicos y los tomen como referencias. ¿Cuáles son tus principales influencias musicales? ¿Cuáles son tus bandas favoritas?
Como ya mencioné, soy un gran admiradora de HIM y Paramore, pero también somos grandes admiradores de Steel Panther, Reckless Love y H.E.A.T .. Sería genial compartir el escenario con algunos de ellos y creo que esto encajaría perfectamente musicalmente. Pero, por supuesto, nos encantan Mötley Crüe y Skid Row.
M.S: Con vuestro primer álbum ya tenéis distribución europea y japonesa, ¿esperabáis este feedback en tus primeros años?
Estamos muy contentos de haber recibido tantos comentarios positivos cuando lanzamos nuestro primer álbum. Ya sabes, todos estamos haciendo música por diversión y nos encanta tocar en vivo.
Pero al final del día, todos en la banda dedican mucho tiempo y, a veces, es difícil de manejar porque todos tenemos nuestro trabajo y nuestra familia. Por lo tanto, es más que genial tener admiradores geniales y personas que aman lo que haces y nos dan la oportunidad de hacer todo esto, y estamos muy agradecidos por eso.
M.S: ¿Dónde puedes comprar tu álbum?

M.S: Después de que haya pasado la temporada de festivales, ¿qué te espera hasta fin de año? Nuevo ¿material? ¿Más conciertos?
Esperamos con ansias tocar algunos shows de clubes con nuestros amigos de Kissin’’ Dynamite al final de este año. Pero lo más importante es que estamos trabajando en nuevo material en este momento. Entonces es hora de ir al estudio y terminar nuestro segundo álbum. Estamos ansiosos por mostrarte algunos nueva música y también tocarla en vivo. Quizás algunos de ustedes se sorprendan un poco.

M.S. Greetings from Spain. How are you?
I’m fine, thank you. That’s the first time we get the chance to speak to our fans from Spain, so it is really nice to talk to you.
M.S: As it is the first time that we are interviewing you in Metal Symphony, we would want you to introduce yourself to our readers and tell us a little about how the group was formed,what style do you play… etc …
We are the german band Supernova Plasmajets and I’m the lead singer Jennifer Crush. The band already existed when I joined them about six years ago. Randy Stardust invited me to a rehearsal with Manni McFly, Alexis Rose and Cliff Bourbon and we played a few songs together.
It was a perfect match, musically and personaly. So we started making music and writing songs togehter and also became friends. When you’re listening to our music you will a hear a mixture of eighties and modern glamrock and hardrock sound. We didn’t want to sound like any other Band.
So we wanted to do something to attract a certain attention. There is also the fact that we are all different ages. Cliff and me are younger than the others. I am a big fan of HIM and Paramore for example. So we are more the nineties kids while Randy, Manni and Alexis are more eighties minded. So this mix provides the typical Supernova Plasmajets style.
M.S: We saw you play in the last Rock The Ring, what memories do you have of your concert and the festival?
It was our first time to play a show in Switzerland so it was a really special experience for us. Nice festival with a lot of cool people and a lot of other great bands. It has been an honour to play a set between Midnight Oil and Lynyrd Skynyrd and to share the stage with such amazing artists. Would be great to play more shows abroad, maybe next time in spain?
M.S: It is something natural that musicians are influenced by other musicians and take them as references. What are your main musical influences? What are your favorite bands?
Like I already mentioned I am a big fan of HIM and Paramore, but we are all also great fans of Steel Panther, Reckless Love and H.E.A.T.. Would be great to share the stage with some of them and I think this would fit perfect musically. But of course we absolutely love Mötley Crüe and Skid Row.
M.S: With your first album you already have European and Japanese distribution, do you expect this feedback your first years?
We are all very happy that we got so much positive feedback when we released our first album. You know, all of us are doing music for fun and we love to play live.
But at the end of the day everyone in the band is puting a lot of time into it and sometimes it’s hard to handle it because we all also have our jobs and family. So it is more than great to have cool fans and people who love what you do and give us the chance to do all this and we are very thankfull for that.

M.S: After the festival season has passed, what awaits you until the end of the year? New material? More concerts?
We’re looking forward to play a few club shows with our friends from Kissin’ Dynamite at the end of this year. But the most important thing is, we are working on new material at the moment.
So it’s time to hit the studio and finish our second album. We’re really looking forward to show you some new music and also play it live. Maybe some of you will be a bit surprised.
