It’s a proven fact that 80’s are back, and old glories, like which we have had
the chance of met now, used to walk around madrid at the last times.
To delight of the new generations. Although they are two bands with not much
in common (except their group of fans that, however it seems unusual, used to
be the same) we could say that it’s a strange blend, because it’s USA and UK,
the melodic rock, elegant ,and the party with the glam; the virtuosity and the
show. A combination which we have seen already that works very well in the last
Lorca festival, and because of the good welcome that the spanish people gave
to them, they decided to come back again.
This time the chosen room was the Copérnico, a place not very usual for that
type of event, but which we can say that have a very good acoustic in general,
the decoration is so original and the place is large and comfortable for seeing
a concert. Besides there was not excessive public, possibly because the same
day there was another group playing, Lacuna Coil. So there were more or less
about 200 persons, and we were able to move with free enough.
TIGERTAILZ
The absence of the bassist Pepsi Tate because of a serious stomach ill, and
his substitution by Glen «Nailz» Quinn for the spanish shows. From here we wish
him a prompt recovery and hope to see him in action in the future. However,
we have to praise the performance of the substitute bassist, because he knew
how to play his part giving all the outstand to the other members of the band,
musically and on stage. And like a curiosity, he doesn’t seem like just glam.
The setlist was based on their most classic songs, which all of
us have always heard, with a couple of songs of berzek 2.0, which however don’t
reach the level of firsts Berzek, are in the musical line of the band. A characteristics
of the band is the fun, for them and for the public. And they showed it even
though their worry about the absence member.
Something to remark is the great vocal work of this band.They
sing their own chorus and other vocal effects, a wonderful detail really pleasant
in a live performance,mostly if we are speaking about a group of this characteristics.
Finally, I would like to point out the fact that they are really easy going
people, as we could gladly check at the end of the show, when they were pleased
to attend 
the
fans, well by letting us taking photos or by signing autographs… They also
informed us about Pepsi’s health. In addition, I have to thank them for supplying
me with an extra t-shirt, as I had bought one, but I lost it in the muddle which
was formed while taking photos. This is an example of the fact that they are
cool!

HOUSE OF LORDS
This time we could see a band more devoted than what we had seen in Lorca. We
really expected a similar behaviour to that time,when they were so cold and
distant with the people,but we had a great surprise,seeing as they showed again
their special connection to the people.
The set list was based on their last album «World upside down»,which is as fresh
as their beginings,something that not all the bands can assert nowadays.
Something against the performance is the fact that the chorus and part of the
scoring were pre-recorded. It is true that there is no one better than Christian
to accompany his own voice and also that this is a better idea than have chorus
made by bad singers , but we can’t deny that work on that way makes the performance
freshless.
We are not going to speak too long about the excellence of Christian’s voice,working
this time at 100% and without the weariness showed on the latests meetings.He
seems to be recobring his unbelievables habilities.Also remark the incredible
performance of Jimi Bell a really skillful guitarist,less known as he should
be.
About the people we should say that they didn’t seem to be really keenly, maybe
because you feel more relaxed listening to a melodic band after to have listened
a fun-loving one.Anyway, we could see the good welcome of their last album seeing
since its songs were the most singed together tonight.
At the end,the group spent a time with the people,talking to
us,taking photos of themselves and Tigertailz and doing those kind of things
that make one desire to watch them again another time!
